Principal (late) Kazim Begum Memorial Scholarship
In coordination with IEC, an annual one time scholarship has been announced. Principal (late) Kazim
Begum Memorial Scholarship fund aims to help young college students who are volunteering their time at I.E.C. Sunday school and
have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Both undergraduate as well as graduate students may apply. This $500.00 scholarship is only for
current and active I.E.C. Sunday school volunteers who are also full time college students.
Principal Kazim Begum Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to the most outstanding applicant. A committee that is appointed
by the chairman of the IEC will make the award decision based on the criterion of academic achievement and IEC Sunday School
Volunteer hours. The scholarship will be distributed directly to the academic institution for the benefit of each winning
student.
Applications are now being accepted from qualified students who wish to pursue higher education.
To apply, please complete the scholarship application, attach an official school transcript and a maximum of 2 page
8 ½ x 11 paper 12 point font, single sided double spaced essay on "How will my degree benefit the Muslim
community?". The deadline to turn in the application is 7/31/08.

IEC Sunday School plans to award this scholarship annually by the will of Allah (swt).
