Welcome to Al-Sadiq Islamic Academy

Our Goals

  • Facilitate students' learning of Islamic history, beliefs, morals and jurisprudence.
  • Provide instruction for students in recitation of Quran by familiarizing them with Arabic script and recitation rules; promote understanding of Quranic Arabic by focusing on key, repetitive vocabulary; practice memorization of chapters from the Quran.
  • Help students to connect with, and hopefully create a lifetime relationship with, the Quran and Ahlulbayt by illuminating how their teachings apply to daily life.
  • Utilize modern teaching strategies and techniques to help students achieve attainable goals in understanding Islamic teachings and implementing them into their lives.

What We Offer

  • Specialized preschool program (must be four years old by September, 2014)
  • Specialized, interactive Kindergarten program
  • Diniyat classes for children in first grade through 12th grade, integrating Islamic history, beliefs, morals, and jurisprudence
  • Four levels of Quran classes, concentrating on recitation, meaning, and memorization
  • Quran Tafseer, Tajweed & Tarteel classes

Moharram Schedule

A'AZAMALLAHU UJOORANA WA UJOORAKUM

Alhamdullilah, Al Sadiq Islamic Academy has restarted its classes from November 1 following the Muharram schedule/curriculum for the entire month of November with the regular schedule/curriculum resuming from December 6 Inshallah.

During the Muharram schedule our special focus will be around the lessons we learn from Karbala including the recitation/memorization/tafseer of the various Ziaraat. For our younger kids, we will have an Arabic writing workshop followed by story- telling around the personalities of Karbala and for the older children we also plan to have a session with the visiting Alims. Our Salat class will continue without interruption with an opportunity for Grade level 2 and 3 kids to also learn about the basics of Wudhu and Salat.

Please make a special note of the timing and schedule mentioned below so you are able to pick up and drop off your children without any inconvenience. Also please make a note of the rooms where you need to drop off your kids since there will be no regular assembly.

  1. School timing    10.30 AM - 12 PM CST
  2. Quran session    10.30 AM - 11.15 AM
  3. Dinyat session    11.15 AM - 12.00 PM
  4. Salat session   12.05 PM - 1.00 PM (this is for Level 2 children only)
*Level 3 children will offer salat in the main prayer hall with the adults.

Based on your childís Dinyat grade, he/she shall be grouped in one of the below levels and classes will be held in the locations mentioned below.

Note : During the Muharram schedule we will not be serving our regular snack from the IEC kitchen and instead some light snack shall be provided at the end of the school so parents are advised to make sure the kids have had a good breakfast.
